255th Air Control Squadron


Lieutenant Colonel David A. Kendrick is the Commander of the 255th Air Control Squadron, Gulfport, Mississippi. The primary mission of the 255th ACS is to provide an operationally ready Control and Reporting Center (CRC) in support of theatre air operations worldwide. They are able to perform the first level execution of air battle for the Joint Forces Air Component Commander, transmit the combined operational picture via tactical data link to the Air Operations Center, direct sector/regional air defense, supervise subordinate deployed air control units, perform identification and surveillance of airborne objects, and provide radar service to high priority tactical aircraft.
