MAGNOLIA STRIKE

Mission Statement – MAGNOLIA STRIKE (MAGSTK) operates across multiple domains throughout the state of Mississippi; focusing on basic to advance combat readiness skills and deployment required tasks through integrated and tailored, joint training events.

Focus/Intent – Formal and Tactical level training events integrating conventional, allied, and Special Operations Forces (SOF). MAGSTK encourages decentralized execution with the planning and administrative oversight of MAGSTK white-cell staff. This allows almost seamless mission training and execution at the lowest tactical level, accomplishing individual unit training requirements and DoD certifications.

MAGSTK is a joint force event hosted by the Mississippi Air National Guard (ANG) at Gulfport Combat Readiness Training Center (CRTC). The CRTC mission is to provide Special Warfare Airmen (SWA) a unique cross domain training venue that enables global combat effectiveness. MAGSTK is a tactical level training event integrating conventional, allied, and SOF. MAGSTK embraces direct support, encourages decentralized execution, and allows a high degree of mission command from planning through execution.

The CRTC Joint Exercise Control Group (JECG) manages the scheduling and planning and execution of the program. The JECG is comprised of military and civilian personnel with extensive SOF experience.

Persistent training audience participants represent, USAF and USANG Special Warfare Airman, United States Special Operations Command (USSOCOM) Forces, US Army Joint Forward Observers, US Army Direct & Indirect Fire Support Elements,  USAF / USANG / AFSOC / USMC / USN / and US Army Close Air Support (CAS) & Close Combat Attack (CCA) Intelligence Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR), Tactical Airlift (fixed wing and rotary).

MAGSTK provides tactical level integration between SWA, SOF, and conventional forces within formal training venues as well as asymmetric scenarios based on current global crises. Full Mission Profiles (FMPs) and Close Air Support Mission Profiles (CMPs) are developed to fit participant’s self-identified training objectives. MAGSTK applies joint and combined war fighting doctrine against realistic and robust enemy integrated threat systems, under safe and controlled conditions based on individual units wants, needs and requirements.

MAGSTK events are executed within a battle space facilitating Air-to-Ground, conventional and SOF combat skills training and full mission profiles using the training venues of Gulfport CRTC, Camp Shelby Joint Forces Training Center (CSJFTC), John C. Stennis Space Center, and WHODAT Military Operating Area (MOA) over the Gulf of Mexico.
